I keep having to re-define the meaning of success. First – all I wanted was a job, then I wanted a promotion, next, I wanted to just be the manager.
Having achieved all of those, I wanted to start at the bottom of a new industry. Then I wanted to learn all the new technology as deeply, and as quickly as I could. Next I wanted a better job and more pay. Eventually, I wanted to overcome all the obstacles in my way.
With every problem, I just had to pray.
Then I realized that I’d rather be my own boss. And that came with some risk, a lot of pain, and a lot of loss.
Following that I decided to follow the money. But then, I discovered that money only led to having more stuff. Things weighed me down. I realized that less was better. Finally I realized that I just wanted to help others along the way.
At every level I discovered there was a new mountain to climb. I had to conquer myself and expand my dreams. Until I realized that the possibilities are limitless.
