Consider this – A job ain’t nothing but work.

If you can’t get hired even though you have a PhD and you are tired of finding out how “over-qualified” you are for a job. Maybe you are tired of being asked how long have you worked for the company, followed by “not for long” coming just before a rowdy customer calls to leave an illegitimate “complaint” that is completely made up.

Check out your state government website to find out what kind of licenses are available. There are many professions that require minimal education, passing a state test, and guaranteed access to work. A state job need not be in your plans but getting licensed for whatever work you are going to provide will help when you establish your business.
